Degrees are extremely valuable. That won't change. Skills-based hiring is a movement to remove barriers for roles that can be filled by individuals who have the skills and experience, without having the traditional educational background, and also empower individuals who may have a degree with a particular specialization, to go for roles that are outside of that specialization.
