EBSCO Information Services, LLC (EBSCO) has been providing trusted data aggregation services to America’s libraries and education institutions since 1944. EBSCO is currently servicing ~96% of America’s academic institutions, the Library of Congress, federal and state government agencies, corporations, medical institutions, and public libraries with trusted knowledge resources, aggregated datasets and data management systems.

In recognition of our proven expertise curating, cross-walking and delivering complex aggregated data from many sources to many personas with purpose, and in realization of our natural role to support the evolution of education to meet the data demands of our modern workforce and new technologies, EBSCOed has been established to extend EBSCO's expertise to connect education and workforce data for the shared benefit of economic opportunity for all.

To enable an aligned and trusted data ecosystem for a modern workforce (so companies like ours can continue to thrive), and to establish the grounding dataset Big AI (glossary tool tip) needs to be an effective enabler for the modern workforce, EBSCOed offers both LER.me and D.A.T.A. (Tool tips) as free, open access initiatives.  EBSCOed’s goal is to meet users where they are and empower those users to translate, transcribe, and transact their own personal education and work data to enable economic opportunity for all.

Building on this open access foundation, EBSCOed offers COTS SaaS Subscription Services wrapped in premium Professional Services to meet the specific needs of states, sectors, populations, service providers, education institutions, and training providers. The benefit of our shared platform is the extensibility offered through shared data and automated alignment, and mobility for learners and workers across sectors. We (and our data) are better together.

Furthering our contribution beyond these open access and subscription services to meet the increasing demand by employers for Durable Skills in the era of AI, EBSCOed has partnered exclusively with America Succeeds to provide their Pathsmith framework to subscribers, including a rubric for designing and developing assessments, and context-aware & simulated assessments that result in digitally-verifiable evidence for individuals.

This offering unlocks a new marketplace for Durable Skills Assessment and personalized, digitally-verifiable evidence via LER.me with the opportunity for institutions to bring their own assessments for credentialing and a marketplace for assessment vendors to reach learners both through institutions and directly.
